4 more days of torture

soon my design project will be done, and i can concentrate on studying for my exams, most imptly i dun have to deal with smokers a.k.a chao keng pple, my group is full of them...

for the past 2 weeks i've been doing solidworks almost the whole time i'm in sch, why use solidworks?.. many pple ask me.. it's such a long story that i almost forgot how it came abt.

Presenting to U: The story of Why solidworks?

All of us decided on solidworks ver.2003 bec apparently jo, wd thinks that it's very easy to use, i haven tried it before so since they are so sure abt it, i dun mind trying.. so 3 of us decided that WE are gg to draw our model using that.. ok.... 1 week passed, 2 weeks passed, the 3rd week came, WE finally started to draw.. here's the prob, WE suddenly realised that solidworks 03 can't be installed on win 98, only on xp.. oh great! what shld we do?.. sch has solidworks 2001, so WE headed to the cad/cam lab to draw, after using it for a while, jo finds it hard to use, decided to install xp on her pc and then solidworks 2003... i think she hasn't done it till now... i dunno what wd is doing lor... he hasn't taken part in any drawing till now.. i thot it's supposed to be 3 of us doing the drawings?? nvm abt that, i decide to start drawing first using ver 2001, i find it quite user-friendly, i got used to it, spent time exploring the software, finally my first model came out... jo still hasn't figure out how to draw her part, wd? i still dunno which part he's doing.. although i always see him in cad/cam lab... i juz kept drawing and drawing, setting my own dimensions, changing them when the need arises..

One fine day, jo came to approach me, she still can't draw her part, ask me whether i wan to use hand draw... i find it super ridiculous lor, i've already did a fair bit of drawing liao, now she wans to use hand draw... i completely ignored her suggestions bec, there's not much time left, hand draw ain't easy either, bec dimensions keep changing, dun tell me she gotta redraw everytime dimensions change? i think it's a silly suggestion where there's much more extra work to be done... but anyway, i made it clear to her that she can hand draw if she wans coz i'm comfortable with what i'm doing now... only prob, the report will look inappropriate with one part hand drawn and another part CAD-drawn...

WHAT IS WD DOING?
i finally learnt of what he's doing.... he's doing sth that's totally not related to design proj! he's doing m460.. i dunno what agreement he had with kelvin and jo, apparently, he's paired up with kelvin for m460, kelvin will concentrate on design while he ALONE will do m460... ok.... i supposed it's left with me and jo doing the drawings liao.... jo is in charge of the mechanisms for unloading the pellet from the lift, i'm doing the lift mechanism and the scaffold for it... then i heard sth even worse from mx...she learnt from jo that wd is also helping them do m460, meaning it's double the work for him, i dunno if he did it out of own accord or jo approached him since he's an expert in ANSYS liao, so does it mean that he can completely dun do design, there's still calculations to be done lor...

and jo.... she din do much on her part of drawing, juz drawing the unloading mechanism... i dunno whether to feel happy for her anot, coz they realised that the mechanism needs too much tough calculations and since she can't come up with the drawing, they decided to change it... good for her that she hasn't started doing a thing yet.. so the change wun affect her much... finally she started her drawing... luckily i'm not the one drawing that coz the person would have to discuss whatever dimensions with the pink bimbo... she's another one, only noe how to talk, no action, assign pple to help other pple! *on behalf of mx*
